GMRI Capital has an opening for an Economic Research Analyst. The Analyst will be based in Harare, Zimbabwe. Requirements: Knowledge and experience with econometric methods and computer software Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to assimilate and process data from a wide variety of sources .Ability to work without any supervision. Work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong mathematical background, good analytical and problem solving abilities, and the ability to develop economic drivers and prepare econometric models based on reasonable economic assumptions. Your Responsibilities include: Prepare weekly economic reports for client use and publication. Undertaking ongoing and specific research on companies and economic counterparties, sectors and geographies Financial modelling of transactions . Writing reports and presentations for the optimization for Private Equity participation as well as regular updates for clients with the risk assessment for new products and systems Understanding clients’ needs and drafting proposals that will serve their best interests and create meaningful and long lasting relationships .Net working and building a data base of clients and counter parties. The Candidate Should Possess: Economic, Financial or Accounting qualifications. Relevant experience within the Economic Research/Investment Banking/Investment Management sector The ability to build, stress test and interpret financial and cash flow models Exceptional communication and IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint An innovative and problem solving persona and a proactive approach in assisting the clients’ and the GMRI’s objectives and long-term strategies .Candidates who lack experience but have good academic qualifications will be considered.
